Elliston Coastal Trail

STORYTELLING SIGNS

Situated on the shores of spectacular Waterloo Bay and between some of the most dramatic coastline on the Eyre peninsula, Elliston is known as great place for fishing, swimming, surfing and bush walking.

To mark the natural beauty of the spectacular cliff top coastline between Little Bay Surf Break and Cape Finnis, a design emerged through sensitive materials yet modern graphic and typography treatments, taking revellers on a journey through time at every point of special significance over a distance of 13 kilometres.

The signage integrated the complex outline of the Eyre peninsular, cut from thick steel, reflecting the power of the elements, and set into the soft, organic texture of weathered hardwood. Contrasting modern typography and graphic devices and colours added balance and a timeless edge to the overall design.
